How is CrV steel different from S2 steel in tools?

Chrome vanadium steel (CrV) is a standard in key and cap production due to high corrosion resistance and cracking. S2 steel is harder and more often used in the production of bits and screwdrivers, as it better withstands torsional loads, preventing rapid wiping of tips.
