The Citroën Peugeot 1.2 VTI VVT tensioner is a tool designed for 1.2 GDI PureTech EB2 diesel engines in vehicles such as Citroën, DS, Peugeot, Opel and Toyota. This kit allows the timing belt to be replaced without the need to remove numerous components, making it quick and easy to check the condition of the timing belt. It enables you to determine whether the belt needs replacing without having to remove the engine. Please note that although this engine differs from the previous one, it still uses a timing belt that operates in an oil-bath environment, known as an oil-bath belt. There is a risk that the oil-bath belt may expand, leading to deterioration and wear before the specified service interval.
