Paint thickness meter tester sensor gl-8 case

Charakterystyka:

The GL-8 paint thickness gauge is an innovative solution, unique on the market, featuring a function that indicates (on the LCD display) whether the paint is original, too thick, or whether there is filler present. The application and technical solution for this functionality have been filed with the Polish Patent Office. The device is based on a modern, high-speed processor. Third-order approximation algorithms were used for thickness calculations, which, combined with several calibration points, has enabled more accurate results to be obtained. Compared to simple solutions based on linear approximation, this is a more accurate method. The gauge features a spring-mounted measuring head, designed such that when the probe is pressed against the surface being tested, it ‘slides in’ by 2–3 mm. This makes the measurement more accurate due to more uniform pressure on the surface being tested. The ASSISTANT function advises the vehicle assessor whether the car has undergone bodywork and paint repairs. The device has been registered with the Polish Patent Office in this regard. When the function is enabled, the meter displays messages on the screen during measurements indicating the condition of the bodywork:– “THIN” – paint too thin;– “PAINT OK” – paint is correct;– “2xPAINT” – second coat of paint;– “FILLER!” – filler; The above messages are abbreviated for technical reasons (limited number of characters on the display). The manufacturer reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of categories when upgrading the instrument. It should be noted that the ASSISTANT function is intended solely to aid in the interpretation of measurements; it cannot serve as the basis for a definitive answer to the question of whether the car has undergone bodywork and paint repairs. Nevertheless, many people assessing cars do not really know what a given paint thickness signifies, which is why this function is designed to help with this. The HOLD function is a feature found in the most expensive gauges. It allows you to take a measurement and freeze it, so you can move the gauge away from the surface being tested and read the measurement. The HOLD function can be disabled via the MENU, allowing you to take measurements continuously. The audible signal is particularly useful when taking a measurement with the HOLD function enabled. Once the measurement is complete, the meter alerts you with a short beep. Power supply: 2x R3 (AAA) alkaline batteries (‘thin sticks’). Thanks to its modern design, this meter is very economical. It requires just two so-called ‘thin stick’ alkaline batteries. The operating time on such a battery can reach up to several hours of continuous use. The meter’s power supply solution has been registered with the Polish Patent Office. Three languages built-in. From the MENU, you can select one of three languages: Polish, English and German. We can also adapt the meter to other languages. Measurements and all functions are shown on the LCD display. The measurement resolution is 10 µm or 1 µm (depending on the settings in the MENU) and the measurement range is from 0 µm to 2000 µm. The gauge has a zeroing (calibration) function – a zeroing plate is included. The built-in memory for 200 measurements allows you to freely review measurements after completing the measurement process. The memory is not erased when the device is switched off or the battery is removed. The device has a built-in display backlight that can be switched on by the user as required. The meter is operated via an 11-function main menu: Measurement, Material, Memory, Off, Clear Memory, Zero, Hold, Resolution, Assistant, LCD LED, Language. Operating the meter is very intuitive. The device is manufactured entirely in Poland. Key features of the instrument:– spring-mounted measuring head;– measurement on steel, galvanised steel and aluminium sheets;– measurement resolution: 10µm or 1µm depending on settings – the user can change the resolution; – measurement range (paint thickness): 0 µm to 2000 µm;– ASSISTANT function;– HOLD function;– audible signal;– meter calibration – a zeroing (calibration) plate is included;– built-in memory for 200 measurements;– LCD backlight;– intuitive operation via a 12-item MENU;– automatic switch-off after prolonged inactivity;– power supply: two R3 (AAA) alkaline batteries;– polycarbonate keypad based on microswitches;– the meter bears the CE mark;– high-quality device;– Polish product;– 3 languages (Polish, English, German); The meter comes with a detailed user manual and batteries.
