CO2 MINI CYLINDER HEAD GASKET LEAK TESTER
The tester is used to detect damage to the cylinder head gasket in liquid-cooled internal combustion engines (petrol, diesel, LPG).
If the cylinder head gasket or the cylinder head itself is damaged, some of the exhaust gases, containing CO2 amongst other substances, enter the cooling system.
The principle of operation is based on measuring the CO2 concentration – if the concentration is elevated, the reaction fluid reacts with the CO2 and changes colour.
The kit contains:
- PVC tube
- 50ml reaction fluid (enough for approx. 25 tests!)
- universal adapter: 25mm–55mm
- The reaction fluid is blue
- A change in the colour of the reaction fluid from blue to yellow in a petrol or LPG engine indicates a damaged cylinder head gasket or cylinder head
- A change in the colour of the reaction fluid from blue to green in a diesel engine indicates a damaged cylinder head gasket or cylinder head
