Correct assembly of the piston – zero damaged threads
The spring is compressed and the column stripped. A problem arises when installing a new shock absorber: how to tighten the top cap without turning the piston? Holding it with pliers (walruses) destroys the smoothing and causes the new element to leak immediately.
