A smart, portable charger for 12 and 24-volt lead-acid, gel, AGM, MF and Li batteries. 230V mains supply, 12V and 24V charging voltage, 25A charging current. Technical specifications: The PRAKTIK CHARGER is an electronic charger for 12-volt lead-acid batteries:

The charger features a microprocessor-based control system, ensuring automatic shutdown once the required battery voltage is reached and automatic resumption of charging when the battery voltage drops. Each time the charger is switched on, it automatically sets the last saved parameters (useful for repeated use and in the event of mains power failures). Cold battery charging function: optimises charging at very low temperatures (low temperatures can adversely affect the chemical structure of the battery components).

Charging process: the 9-stage charging process ensures optimal battery charging conditions. The automatic control system adapts each of the 9 charging stages to ensure the battery is charged correctly:

• STAGE 1 - DIAGNOSTIC – analyses the battery and checks whether it can accept the charging current; prevents a damaged battery from being charged.
• STAGE 2 - RECOVERY CHARGE (Pre-charge) – low-voltage batteries are pre-charged with a low current but at a higher voltage; heavily discharged batteries can be restored to a usable condition, ensuring a longer battery life; this stage is skipped if the battery is only slightly discharged and in good condition.
• STAGE 3 - SOFT START – the charger gradually increases the charging current until the set charging current is reached.
• STAGE 4 - PULSE CHARGE – the battery is charged with a pulsed current (the pulse fluctuations occur within the DC current range).
• STAGE 5 - RECONDITIONING – a preparatory stage for charging in the bulk charge stage.
• STAGE 6 - BULK CHARGE – charging with a constant current until a pre-set voltage is reached (14.4–14.7V).
• STAGE 7 - ABSORPTION CHARGE – once the required battery charge level is reached, the system switches to constant voltage (CV) charging and the charging process ends.
• STAGE 8 - EVALUATION DIAGNOSTIC – automatic monitoring of the battery voltage after charging is complete.
• STAGE 9 - MAINTENANCE CHARGE – a stage that maintains the battery (float) and monitors its condition; resumes charging at a reduced current if necessary.
