The sliding hammer is attached to the top of the pliers. You clamp the pliers onto the object you wish to remove and quickly slide the hammer back as far as it will go to pull.

As the sliding hammer rotates, it can be directed in any direction. The hammer can be easily removed, allowing the tool to be used as a traditional locking pliers.

You can use it to extract nails, cotter pins, oil seals, set pins, suspension bolts and more.
