The BMW N47 / N47S / N57 timing lock set is designed for setting and locking the timing in chain-driven diesel engines. It allows the crankshaft, camshafts and system components to be immobilised during servicing.

This tool, also known as the BMW timing chain lock or the N47/N57 timing adjustment kit, is used when replacing the timing chain and during engine repairs.
