The replacement of the timing bar in units equipped with variable timing phases requires precise locking tools. The presented set allows the wheels of variable phases and crankshaft to be immobilized in optimal service position, which eliminates the risk of phase shifting and incorrect system assembly.
The tools were designed for popular petrol engines of 1.6 and 1.8 liters (e.g. XER and XEP series). The complete set allows you to carry out a full service procedure – from locking the rollers, from immobilizing the flywheel to securing the belt tensioner. This is an essential element of equipment for working on GM group engines and 1.8 16V engines mounted in Italian brands.
