AUTOOL SDT 202 Automotive Leak Detector

A professional automatic leak tester for pipes, hoses, connectors and systems using a smoke generator. This helps us to quickly and accurately locate leaks in pipe systems within a few minutes. The device can be used for testing the intake system, exhaust system, cooling system, vehicle seals, fuel tank system and various pipe fittings.

AUTOOL SDT 202 – how to use:

1. Pour 10 ml of baby oil into the leak detector.

2. Open the bonnet and hang the detector inside.

3. Disconnect the tube that is to be connected to the sensor.

4. Connect the detector to a 12V DC battery.

5. Turn on the power switch and the detector will start working.

6. In about 30 seconds, the tube will fill with smoke.

7. Check for leaks.

AUTOOL SDT 202 Car Leak Detector:

1. An essential tool for automotive technicians. The AUTOOL SDT 202 has its own air pump and does not rely on other machines. By observing the pressure gauge, the leak location is visible at a glance.

1. When using the AUTOOL SDT 202 car leak detector for the first time, pour in 10–20 ml of oil. Take care NOT to exceed this range.

2. Test fluid: both liquid paraffin and baby oil can be used.

3. You may only top up with fresh oil when the smoke becomes sparse, and you must not add more than 20 ml at a time.

4. Before refilling with fresh oil, pour out the remaining oil from the detector and replace it regularly.

5. During the leak detection process, keep away from smoke-sensitive parts.

6. DO NOT use the detector continuously for 8 minutes. It requires intermittent breaks.

7. The detector is fitted with a smart safety feature; if the operating limit is exceeded, e.g. above 75°C, it will automatically switch off. In this case, please stop using the device and resume once it has cooled down.

8. The circular area at the back of the detector becomes very hot; take care to avoid burns.

9. If the test tube needs to be disconnected in the middle, secure the other end with a rubber stopper.
