A professional automatic leak tester for pipes, hoses, connectors and systems using a smoke generator. This will help us to quickly and accurately locate leaks in pipe systems within a few minutes. The device can be used for testing the intake system, exhaust system, cooling system, vehicle seals, fuel tank system and various pipe fittings.

The device is powered by a 12V battery

AUTOOL SDT 205S – how to use:

1. Pour 10 ml of baby oil into the leak detector.

2. Open the bonnet and hang the detector inside it.

3. Detach the tube that is to be connected to the sensor.

4. Connect the device to a 12V DC battery.

5. Switch on the air compressor (Air Mode).

6. Switch on the smoke generator (Smoke Mode).

7. In about 30 seconds, the tube will fill with smoke.

8. You can adjust the smoke output and air pressure

9. Check for leaks.

Once the job is done, you can drain the remaining oil by unscrewing the knob on the right-hand side, which indicates the oil level in the reservoir.

1. When using the AUTOOL SDT 205S car leak detector for the first time, pour in 10–20 ml of oil. Take care NOT to exceed this range.

2. Test fluid: both liquid paraffin and baby oil can be used.

3. You may only top up with fresh oil once the smoke has become sparse, and you must not add more than 20 ml at a time.

4. Before refilling with fresh oil, pour out the remaining oil from the detector and replace it regularly.

5. During the leak detection process, keep away from smoke-sensitive parts.

6. DO NOT use the detector continuously for 8 minutes. It requires intermittent breaks.

7. The detector is fitted with a smart safety feature; if the operating limit is exceeded, e.g. above 75°C, it will automatically switch off. In this case, please stop using the device and resume once it has cooled down.

8. The circular area at the back of the detector becomes very hot; take care to avoid burns.

9. If the test tube needs to be disconnected in the middle, secure the other end with a rubber stopper.
